Now a convenient mobile application is available for people with TB and their families in the Kyrgyz Republic, by the means of which they will be able to promptly report legal violations and learn relevant information about TB treatment.
Elena Zhirnova, TB REP 2.0 project coordinator in Kyrgyzstan:
"Thanks to the tremendous work that has been done by the AFEW-Kyrgyzstan team together with the National Center for Phthisiology and the developers of the Dure Technologies mobile application, we are pleased to announce the launch of the OneImpact Kyrgyzstan mobile application.
Despite the difficult epidemiological situation caused by COVID-19 in the country and the high demand for the medical staff, anti-tuberculosis service workers are actively involved in trainings on mobile app implementation for its further distribution among patients and are expressing interest in using it in their daily work.
Our team also conducts consultations among patients providing information about the new digital platform that allows them to receive reliable information about tuberculosis, stay in touch with peer consultants and medical staff, send feedback on access to anti-tuberculosis services and receive advice from the response team.
We hope that this application will help identify people with TB who are not covered by TB care services and will promote quality, modern approaches to TB prevention, diagnosis and treatment”.
