This report presents the results of the Integrated Biological and Behavioral Surveillance (IBBS) surveys conducted during 2024/2025 among PWID in Chișinău, Bălți, Tiraspol, and Râbnița, MSM in Chișinău and Bălți, FSW in Chișinău, Bălți, and Tiraspol, and prisoners in prisons on the right bank of the Dniester River. The main objective of the 2024-2025 IBBS in the Republic of Moldova is to measure HIV seroprevalence and associated risk factors among PWID, MSM, FSW and prisoners, to inform programmatic and policy responses, and to monitor epidemic trends. Other objectives include measuring syphilis, hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV), HIV testing, knowledge about HIV transmission, violence, stigma and discrimination, and the AIDS treatment and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) cascades.

The evaluation of opioid substitution treatment services in Moldova was conducted under the program "Strengthening the HIV control in Moldova, 2015 - 2017", financed by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and implemented by the Centre for Health Policies and Studies in collaboration with the Republican Narcological Dispensary.
